nothing much

just came back from long break..abit not feeling well..abit of headache...and flu...but running nose normally happens at night..

i met a friend for coffee after lunch..and we both agree that being in technical support roles is a sucky job. Everybody just go to you if there's any problem in technical areas, even when its not actually your problem or your business to mind..

they just expect you to provide answers and solutions, when you can't, you get blamed, when u do a good job, it's expected....

i'm glad i'm trying to move out from technical areas..

10 days...

..and counting, actually is 11 days, to be precise..if you count in today as well, before i leave my current company. normally, after a employee hands in his resignation, the workload will be disseminate to other colleagues, and most of the time will be doing handing over, doing nothing much...chit chat with other colleagues...

but this is NOT happening to me!!!!

i have been more busy than usual as there are some issues coming from clients, and i'm supposed to follow up on these till my very last day here....as my boss is not around. Where's my other colleagues to help me, u asked? There's no one here except me doing my job..how about your replacement, u asked? Oh yeah...they employed a guy..who's supposed to report here AFTER i leave the company..funny arrangements if you asked me...

Probably they think its better for them, if i dun meet the new guy, cos i might "influence" him. maybe they want someone whom they can manipulate...someone not as opposing as me... someone whom can accept all the flaws of management.. and they cannot risk having me to instill unwanted thoughts about the company to the new guy..

but heck, i not going to do that anyway..im just gonna sit and wait...counting down....

gangsta rappin?

i always wonder, what makes a gangsta rapper? how did they get producers to produce their album? what is it about them that record companies wana sign them? there must be a thousand and one rappers on the street but why only those few were allowed to have their own albums?

for a singer wannabe, you have to sing well, or at least look good, then you have some market value..if you are a rock band, probably u have to write ur own songs, able to play good music, thats about it.. but for rappers...am i right to say anybody can rap?? correct me if im wrong, the way i look at it..any dude wearing oversized t shirts, baggy jeans, sneakers and cap..with some bling bling..can be a rap star...but what makes those rap stars different from the rest of the wannabes?

last night i was switching the channels on tv, and came to MTV channel. saw a unfamiliar bloke rappin..with all the raunchy gals dancing, nice suave cars etc...it jus makes me wonder, how in the world did this guy became a rapping artiste? (rapping artiste because any fella who can rap are called rappers, those who have albums etc are called artistes, haha)

gangsta rapping are often associated with gangsters, secret societies etc..i have ever heard about east and west side rappers not on good terms, and gunfights are common between them. in fact there are some rappers who died cos of rivalry as well.

my conclusion of 'how to be a rapping artiste'

1. You have to be rich.
2. You have to be in a rich secret society that wana turns you into a rapping artiste.
3. You really can rap better than the rest.

I can't think of any other, people..help me out..

reality shows

i'm not a big fan of reality shows, but having watch 2 episodes of "The Contenders", i'm really hooked. this is one of the best reality shows i've watched, (not that i've watched many).. some shows are like somehow "fake", like some of the survivors series, where they plot against one another..i didn find that "real" enuff, but the boxers in Contenders are really fighting realistically, their blood, sweat, emotions, urge to win the cash money for their family..is so so real..

what other reality shows are there?

What else? of all i only watched Fear Factor and survivor.. perhaps i can do with a prompt or 2?
